Drama and Disability Activism: Looking at Disability Rights and Culture through Forum Theatre
Course facilitator: Peter Kearns

Dates: Monday 6th, Tues 7th, Wed 8th & Thursday 9th August
Time: 1-3pm
Price: £20 per person for 4 sessions

Over the course of four two-hour workshops disabled actor, theatre producer and disability rights lecturer Peter Kearns will create a fun, honest and open space to look at disability rights and activism through drama and theatre techniques. Peter will encourage participants to open up and reflect on what it is like to face barriers in society, and to look at how we can use drama and art activism to overcome these barriers. Participants will be given the freedom and space to express their ideas and experiences and to work together to find new ways of challenging old ideas.

This course is presented in association with University of Atypical.
